Accepting my reality has been one of the biggest obstacles I've managed to overcome.
It's not easy; it involves seeing reality for what it is, adjusting my expectations, charting new paths, and accepting that the situation is what it is.

In my case, I was diagnosed overnight with an illness that changed my life, and from that moment on, I had to come to terms with my reality.

Everything had changed, and at first I had a really hard time accepting it. Until I finally managed to change my mindset.

To come to terms with my reality, I took the following steps:

  1. I've let go of the past:What was before and how things used to be won't come back. It's time to look ahead and not look back; the future is bright, and we must move toward it.
  2. I took a look at the present:I reflected on what I have right now and what my current situation is, so I could make lemonade out of the lemons I have today.
  3. I set my sights on the future:I adjusted my expectations for life. I left behind what I might have wanted to be and thought about what I want to be now, in this new lifestyle.

These three steps made a huge difference and helped me come to terms with my reality.

I invite you now to put these into practice so that you, too, can accept your reality just as it is and stop fighting against it.

I hope this is helpful to you.
